This kit is the first plastic model kit of the German Kriegsmarine class destroyers!

Named after Diether von Roeder, commander of the torpedo boat S66, Z-17 "Diether von Roeder" was the lead ship of the “1936” class of German Kriegsmarine destroyers. Diether von Roeder was commissioned on August 29, 1938, and sunk during the battle of Narvik on April 13, 1940.
