Position: Sales Associate (aka Meeplemart Minion)

Approximately 30-40 hours a week.

Requirements

-EXTENSIVE product knowledge of the products Meeplemart carries. You do not have to know how to play with the products (rules etc), but must know what they are and what they are about. (...from Day 1.)
-EXCEPTIONAL knowledge of at least 1 of the following product categories; CCG/TCG's, Board & Card Games, Video Games.
-Ability to quickly and efficiently change tasks constantly throughout the day.
-Flexibility to work different days/ times on short notice as needed.
-Ability to work independently without supervision or direction. If you need to be micromanaged, or externally motivated, Meeplemart is NOT for you.
-Ability to work ACCURATELY while also being extremely FAST. (Pulling and processing orders in seconds, not minutes.)
-Must be proficient with Windows based computers/ software and technology.
-Must have a common sense work ethic and be motivated to work.

I'm not going to candy coat this; working at Meeplemart can be a brutal experience. If you do not know your stuff from Day 1, you will have no chance of surviving your first week. If you expect to be "hanging out and talking about games all day", you will not survive your first day. Shifts start at certain times and end when the job is done. We are a high volume store that processes 1000's of "micro" transactions a day. You MUST be FAST and ACCURATE.

-If you are into gaming and geek culture, Meeplemart has you covered. All products are sold to staff at cost. Freebies, promos and severely discounted products are also passed on to staff. Demo products can borrowed and tried at home (demo games, open video games/ systems etc.) If you want something that we do not normally stock, I'll order it in for you.
-It is a fair environment. You will never be asked to do work that everyone else already has, (many times over).
-Flexibility works both ways. You need a day/ afternoon/ weekend/ week off, no problem. Meeplemart approves staff swapping shifts etc.
-Money. You work, you get paid. Being broke sucks.
-Independence. If you are self motivated and enjoy working without supervision (getting the job done), working at Meeplemart can be a great experience.
-EVERYTHING YOU DO MATTERS. There is no irrelevent work at Meeplemart. What everyone does matters. Every single thing you do at Meeplemart effects the "Meeplemart Experience". For the right person, this can reward you with a great sense of accomplishment, pride and worth in your workplace.
