From the creators of the critically acclaimed Railroad Ink, a whole new competitive experience!
Railroad Ink Challenge™ is a quick playing roll and write game for 1 to 4 players. Grab a board and a dry-erase marker and get ready to reach networking nirvana!
Railroad Ink Challenge™ has everything you love from the original Railroad Ink games and a lot more, with an all-new focus on player interaction. Roll the dice and draw the routes to connect the exits around your board. Expand your network with railways, highways, and stations to collect points, but you will be penalised for any open connections, so plan carefully!
In the Shining Yellow Edition roll the special Desert dice and use oases to protect your cacti from the arid desert climate, or build the longest canyon possible with the Canyon dice, but you’ll have to build bridges to cross the canyons with your routes!
In-Game Goals!
Those who achieve them faster get greater rewards… keep an eye on what your opponents are doing and try to complete the goals before they do! Also, a different set of goals will be available each time: no game will be the same!
New Dice
Draw unprecedented, mind-bending route configurations thanks to the new dice! Stations with three connections, double curves, dead ends… these new faces will change the way you play the game!
Special Structures
Connect special structures to your network to trigger new effects: duplicate a die, gain bonus points, and unlock extra special routes… use these effects wisely and you’ll score big!
Desert Expansion
Build your network in an arid desert landscape. Your goal is to make as many cacti as possible to survive until the end of the game to score bonus points, but beware! If they are not placed next to an oasis when the next heat wave appears, they will be destroyed by the harsh desert climate of the desert. At the end of the game, you gain 1 point for each individual surviving cactus on your board (so if a space contains 2 cacti, you obtain 2 points for that space).
Canyon Expansion
Mix your transportation network with majestic canyons! Your goal is to create the longest Canyon you can, to score bonus points. Canyons run along the edges of your spaces, and can only be drawn in pre-determined shapes. To make your routes cross a canyon stretch, you will have to spend “bridge points”. At the end of the game, you gain 1 point for each segment of your Longest Canyon. You also gain 2 points for each individual Canyon with both ends connected to the edge of the board.
