The brief version of the back story of these games begins with a trip that the EGG Team and friends took to the Strong Museum in Rochester, New York six years ago. We read about 20 years of Sid Sackson’s diaries and noted the games he was particularly enthused about -- which had never been published. The end result, six years later, is this anthology of six titles, most of which have never been published before. We think they demonstrate Sid’s creative and innovative genius.

The Eagle-Gryphon Games team found Cinema while digging through Sid’s collection of diary notes about his best games that had never been published. The Eagle-Gryphon team (led by Emerson Matsuuchi) analyzed and developed the current game rules to bring Cinema to life.

Dig Site was originally published as Corner by Ravensburger Games in Germany in 1974. It has been unavailable for decades until now. This new edition features an archaeological theme with updated rules for 4 players.

Bowling Solitaire first appeared in Sid’s book “A Gamut of Games.” Originally published in 1969, this book has long been a classic work on the topic of game design. Eagle-Gryphon Games previously published Bowling Solitaire with another solitaire game, Elevenses for One, in 2015.
