The Line Cossacks are light infantry troops that make up the principal line of defence for the isolated Ariadne stanitsas. They may not be as well equipped as their equivalent in other armies, but they perfectly trained, do their duty and know the region.

The line troops consider themselves the true elite and indeed when things get tough they do more than their share of the work.

Kazak (cossack) is the predominant ethnic group of these units and as a general rule their tradition is Russian Cossack. However, they also recruit members from other ariadna minorities.

Miniatures are supplied unpainted and assembly may be required.
