The first tabletop dexterity game that makes you feel like you're actually playing golf. Using 25 double-sided wooden terrain tiles, players design and play their own course.
How to play:
Players flick the ball (a slider) from tee box, trying to avoid the hazards to sink the ball in the hole. Each hazard has its own flicking mechanics forcing players to use different fingers to hit shots. For example a shot that ends up in the sand bunker forces players to use the thumb on their non-dominant hand to hit their next shot!
Hazards also reduce the distance a ball can be hit. From the tee box or fairway the ball can be hit up to 7 tiles, but from the sand for example, the ball can only travel a maximum of 4 tiles. We call this the 'max fly' rule.
All of the rules for each terrain type are easy to access on the Hazard Reference Card that's included in the game. Hazards included are the sand bunkers, the trees, the water and cliff hazards. There is also the 'rough' and the 'ridge' tile which are not hazards but can alter the players next shot.
The players must also deal with the possibility of the wind affecting their shot. Before each shot a player must roll the weather die to determine wind speed and direction. If wind is present, the player flicks the spinner to determine what direction the wind is blowing in. When the shot comes to rest, the player must move the ball one or two spaces depending on the wind speed and direction.
The game includes everything you need to replicate a real round of golf, but can be enjoyed even if you don't know anything about golf! The game also includes 12 Golf Pro Player cards that add unique abilities players can use during play.
The player with the lowest score wins the TGA cup trophy included in the game. Guaranteed hours of fun, and endless replayability.
